« Merce-Art Forever! » is a project by Foofwa d'Imobilité / Neopost Ahrrrt about the legacy of Merce Cunningham.

The project is composed of interviews, readings, manifestos, dialogs, and different viewpoints, all related to the present, past, and future of Merce's work. It is a way to study and promote this legacy, which is certainly one of the most important for dance in the past century. Foofwa will make these documents available to the public for free and non-commercial distribution, sharing (with credits of course) being the ultimate goal.

Presentations of the videos

There are 3 options for the presentation of Merce-Art Forever!

An Installation with 4 stations each equipped with a screen, a DVD player and one or more headsets.
A Projection in a room with schedules and details for each of the video parts.
A Conference with Foofwa about the legacy of Merce, including a projection of one or more excerpts from the videos.

« Merce-Art Forever! » est un projet de Foofwa d'Imobilité / Neopost Ahrrrt sur l'héritage de Merce Cunningham.

Ce projet est composé d'interviews, de lectures, de manifestes, de dialogues, et de différents points de vue, en relation avec le présent, le passé et le futur du travail de Merce. Ce projet a pour but d'étudier et de promouvoir son héritage, qui est certainement un des plus important pour la danse du XXe siècle. Foofwa désire mettre ces documents à la disposition du public, gratuitement et par une distribution non-commerciale, le partage (en citant la source bien entendu) étant son but ultime.

We have done a short video to see how the "Merce-Art Forever!" installations can be done. This installation was at the Holland Festival in Amsterdam, Netherlands (8-11 June 2010). Below are also photos with visitors.
