Born in London in 1984, Ruch Childs moved to the United States in 1986 with her family where she started classical ballet at the age of 6. Finishing her academic studies in 2002, she moved back to London to study dance at the London Studio Centre, where she performed Images of Dance with the student ballet company and received a diploma in classical ballet.
In 2003 she came to Switzerland to join the Ballet Junior of Geneva where she worked with various choreographers including Foofwa d'Imobilité, Ken Ossola, Patrick Delcroix, and Lucinda Childs. After two years with the Ballet Junior, Ruth was hired to work for the company of Jean-Marc Heim in Lausanne for his piece Creatura (2005).
Since 2006 Ruth has returned to Geneva and is currently working for Foofwa. She participated in his tour of Live & Dance (2006-2007), his recreation of BodyToys (2007), showings of LaréduQ (2008), and The Making of Spectacles (2009).

Née à Londres en 1984, elle démenage avec sa famille aux Etas-Unis en 1986 où elle commence la danse classique à l’âge de 6 ans. A la fin de ses etudes scolaires en 2002, elle rentre à Londres pour étudier la danse au London Studio Centre, où elle intègre “Images of Dance”, le jeune ballet de l’école et elle reçoit son diplôme en danse classique.
En 2003 elle vient en Suisse pour intégrer le Ballet Junior de Genève où elle travaille avec plusieurs chorégraphes comme Foofwa d’Imobilité, Ken Ossola, Patrick Delcroix, et Lucinda Childs. Après deux ans au Ballet Junior, elle est engagée comme interprète par Cie Jean-Marc Heim à Lausanne pour la pièce Creatura (2005).
Ensuite elle rentre à Genève où elle travaille actuellement pour Foofwa d’Imobilité. Elle participe à ses tournées de Live & Dance (2006-2007), une reprise de rôle pour Incidences (2007), sa recréation de BodyToys (2007), et les creations de The Making of Spectacles (2008) et L’AréduQ (en cours pour 2011).
