From the WhatsonSA Magazine, Capetown, South Africa: « In his communication with the audience and one on one (in my brief interactions with him), he comes across as very open and unguarded, a quality which is extremely rare, specially from a ground breaking artist. I see Foofwa as a fearless innovator of dance and am grateful to have experienced these performances live. » > Read the complete article « Reflections on Foofwa d’Imobilité »

Video of « Performance for 3 Avatars »
On May 29, 2010 the « Performance for 3 Avatars » was presented and filmed at the Rolex Learning Center in Lausanne, Switzerland. The performance will be presented again in July at the Festival de la Cité in Lausanne.
Watch the video of « Performance for 3 Avatars » at Rolex:
Performance pour 3 avatars is the synthesis of three works: Media Vice Versa, a quartet made in 2002; BodyToys, a trio created in 2007; and Second Live Series, videos made from 2008 to 2010. These three dances are all connected to the studies of the digital body and the questions surrounding the real and the virtual. With one dancer representing each piece, it’s like a strange conversation between three avatars, adaptable to a context (at the Rolex Learning Center of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne on May 29 2010, and at the Festival de la Cité in Lausanne on July 6, 7 and 8 2010)
