How to embody an area ?
During the week, Foofwa will walk / work / dancewalk through the quartiere. His presence in the public space would be one of a. observing, taking notes, photos and videos; b. trying a performing body in the midst of the urban setting; c. exchanging with the interested people on the street.
This way, Foofwa will accumulate audio&video&text artefacts throughout the week for inspiration or to be used for the final Dancewalk performance on Saturday October 12t.
Meeting people on the street will probably lead to some unexpected/unknown developments.
On Thursday 10 and Friday 11, in the morning, professional dancers affiliated wit Ariella Vidach will accompany Foofwa in this Dancewalk urban research.
* The Gallaratese Dancewalks are four dance acts around the idea of visiting, studying and highlighting the Gallaratese Quartiere, Municipio 8 in Milano through dance.
The project culminates on Saturday October 12th with an open to the public dance through the Quartiere.

Anyone can dancewalk ! Foofwa shares what is dancewalking with anyone interested, without discrimination: dancers (professionals or not), non-dancers, sports-wo-men, children, seniors, people with disabilities. Experience the joy of dancing your personal self within a group celebrating liberation.
