Performing Soviet Postures at the Brandenburg Gate

This ‘act-for-recording’ came from the zoom dialogue with Dasha Plokhova who forms together with Sasha Portyannikova the dance cooperative Isadorino Gore, who lead in the artistic research and creative project « Soviet Gesture » since 2015. Yet, my gesture is only a bouncing move, an appendice, a personal digression from their work.

Being an artistourist along the Berlin Wall trail #2

On the days of the 35th anniversary of the Wall’s Fall, I walked to further observe how the fallen wall became spectacle, artefact, advertisemen and artwork to my gaze ; in a word THE WALL BECAME A SHOWCASE FOR THE ‘FREE WORLD’ BEFORE MY EYES. The result is From Wall to Mall .

On the days of the 35th anniversary of the Wall’s Fall, I wanted to get a closer look at the anatomy of the Wall, see how it exercises a physical influence on me, see if it can still stand and parade for me. The result is Physicals of a 63-year-old Wall .

Two ideas/projects can result from this FIRST SKETCHES :

1 – something close to what I did here, filming the experience to be kinesthetically connected to the exhibition visited, something that could be called AUTO-EXPOSITION ;

2 – doing / acting / performing images and situations inspired by the artwork from an exhibition visited, something that could be called IMAGE VIVANTE .
